Genetics is a field that is continuously expanding as there is still so much to discover. Do you want to understand how living things inherit traits from their parents, such as eye color or height? You will learn about DNA, explore exciting topics, discover how scientists use genetics to improve our lives, and much more. If you are curious about these things, this course is perfect for you!

Meet The Teacher: Isabella Zarzar
Isabella is a rising junior at Carlmont High School. She loves learning about a variety of topics, including biology and medicine, computer science, and graphic design. Outside of school, she enjoys photography, painting, volunteering at the hospital, and spending time with friends and family. She has participated in the Stanford Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging (AIMI) Research Internship as well as other programs such as a Genetics, Genomics, and Cancer Biology course at the Elio Academy of Biomedical Sciences.
